منwho مُبلغٌwill convey عنيon my behalf الإمامthe Imam
من مُبلغٌ عني الإمام
وقلبهand his heart وَجِلٌfearful خفوقpounding
وقلبه وَجِلٌ خفوق
Who will tell the Imam on my behalf—
Arise, for the Imam has sent me
His heart fearful and pounding—
With a heart that trembles and quakes
أنthat الخلافةthe caliphate فيin غدٍtomorrow تنهاcollapse (beginning of split word)
أن الخلافة في غدٍ تنها
رُcompletion of 'collapse' إنif لمnot تستفيقit awakens
رُ إن لم تستفيق
That tomorrow the caliphate will
To say the Caliphate will end tomorrow
Collapse if it does not awaken?
If you do not awake
ردّواrestore (you all) الحقوقthe rights لأهلهاto their rightful holders
ردّوا الحقوق لأهلها
إنindeed الحياةlife هيit (referring to life) الحقوقthe rights
إن الحياة هي الحقوق
Restore rights to their rightful holders.
Restore the rights to their people
Indeed, life is rights.
For life itself is rights
واثنواand turn back (you all) السيوفthe swords الىto الغمودthe scabbards
واثنوا السيوف الى الغمود
فليسfor there are no فيin الدنياthe world بروقflashes of lightning
فليس في الدنيا بروق
And return the swords to their scabbards,
And sheathe the swords into scabbards
For there are no flashes of lightning in the world.
For the world has no lightning
