به روض البيان يطيب قطفا
Exquisite in diction, original in its meanings,
Eloquent in wording, inventive in meaning
In it, the garden of eloquence is a joy to harvest.
With it the garden of eloquence becomes fragrant with plucking
شهدناwe attest انهthat it حلوsweet المجانيgathered fruits
شهدنا انه حلو المجاني
نعمyes قدindeed شابهit resembled الشهدhoney المصفىpurified
نعم قد شابه الشهد المصفى
We attest that its gathered fruits are sweet;
We witnessed it being sweetly free
Yes, it is indeed like purified honey.
Yes, it resembled clarified honey
سلافةchoice wine رونقsplendor الآدابliterature منهfrom it
سلافة رونق الآداب منه
حلتgrew sweet بمسامعto the ears of الادباءwriters رشفاin sips
حلت بمسامع الادباء رشفا
The choice wine of literary splendor drawn from it
The elegance and flair of literature comes from it
Is sweet to writers’ ears, sip by sip.
