وأجلها النجل الذكي الفطنُ
How many blessings God has bestowed upon humankind!

And the greatest is the intelligent, discerning son,
The greatest being this bright, clever son.

Like the noble born of the noble one, and he
In whom life and time have grown sweet.

I mean Hasan, the full moon of eminence,
I mean by this the full moon of glory, Hassan,
A scion who never falters in attaining glory.
A branch of the Nile of glory that never wilts.

Thanks for a year that brought happiness,
I composed a chronogram: “In it, his boy Hasan.”
In which his boy Hassan was born.
