بني جنبلاط لكم بيت مجدٍ

قديم الفخار فخيم دعامه

Sons of Jumblatt, yours is a house of glory,

ancient in renown, magnificent in its pillars.

فدام علاء العماد الذي

بكم لا يزال قويماً قواه

So may the loftiness of that pillar endure,

whose strength, through you, remains steadfast.

ولا زال طول المدى عامراً

وأنتم بخيرٍ وعز كرامه

And may it flourish throughout all time,

while you, its noblemen, enjoy well-being and honor.

فبشرى بمولودكم انه

لنجل سعيد رفيع مقامه

So glad tidings of your newborn! Indeed, he

is a son of Sa'id, lofty in station.

فدمتم لانجال انجاله

بحظ عظيم لديكم دوامه

So may you live on for his sons' sons,

with great good fortune that remains with you.

وعاش بحفظ ونيل المنى

وحوز المعالي دواما مرامه

And may he live protected, attaining his wishes,

and gaining high honors, forever his aim.

وانا نهني به مجدكم

وذاك علينا يحق احترامه

And we congratulate your glory on his birth,

and honoring it is rightly our duty.

ولما سمعنا بشيراً به

حبانا كما الحبور كلامه

And when we heard a bearer of glad tidings about him,

his words likewise bestowed joy on us.

فقلنا له قد سررت الملا

فارخ نجيبٌ سعيدٌ غلامه

So we said to him: You have gladdened the gathering;

so record the date: ‘Najib is Sa'id's boy.’
