1. بمثلك هذا العيد أضحى معيدا

    وعاد بهيجاً بالمسرات مسعدا

    With one like you, this feast has become festive anew,

    And returned joyful with delights, bringing happiness.

  2. فلا زلت مسروراً سعيداً منعماً

    كما قد سررت الناس بالعدل والجدا

    So may you ever remain delighted, happy, and blessed,

    As you have gladdened people with justice and bounty.

  3. فاسديت معروفاً اليهم فسدتهم

    فلم يذهب المعروف منك لهم سنا

    So you bestowed kindness upon them and became their master;

    Nor did the radiance of your kindness toward them fade.

  4. فجازاك مولاهم بوافر نعمة

    وكافاك بالحسنى وزادك سؤددا

    So may their Lord reward you with abundant blessing,

    And recompense you with goodness, and increase your eminence.

  5. فيا لك من مولى يجود بفضله

    ويحرز من مولاه اجراً مخلدا

    So what a patron you are, giving freely of your bounty,

    And earning from your Lord an everlasting reward.

  6. وقد علم السلطان دام انتصاره

    بسيرتك المثلى بمالك قلدا

    And the sultan—may his triumph endure—has learned

    Of your exemplary conduct in what he entrusted to you.

  7. فاعطاك من نعماه ما أنت أهله

    مقاماً عليا لا يزال مشيدا

    So he gave you from his bounty what you deserve:

    A lofty station, ever firmly established.

  8. وتخفض للناس الجناح تواضعا

    فتزداد فيهم رفعةً وتمجدا

    And you lower your wing to people in humility,

    So you grow among them in stature and glory.

  9. وقد كثرت فيك المحامد منهم

    فأنت جديران دعيت محمدا

    And their praises of you have grown abundant,

    So you are worthy of being called Muhammad.

  10. وكل يجهد قد دعا لك ربه

    واصبح كل بالثناء مغردا

    And everyone has earnestly prayed to his Lord for you,

    And everyone now sings your praises.

  11. ومالك فيهم من عدو سوى الذي

    غدا مبغضا أهل الفضائل والندا

    And among them you have no enemy except the one

    Who has come to hate people of virtue and generosity.

  12. فكم فاز مظلوم لديك بحقه

    وكم من ظلوم قد ردعت إذ اعتدا

    For how many a wronged person has won his due before you,

    And how many an oppressor you have restrained when he transgressed.

  13. وكم جاء ملهوف لنحوك قاصداً

    فكنت له غوثاً معيناً ومنجدا

    And how many a distressed person has come intent on reaching you,

    And you have been his succor, helper, and rescuer.

  14. وقد جمعت فيك المكارم كلها

    فأنت بهذا العصر ممن تفردا

    And all noble qualities have been gathered in you,

    So you are among the peerless in this age.

  15. نصبت بتحصيل العلوم فنلتها

    وللمنصب الاسنى رفعت مؤبدا

    You toiled to acquire the sciences, and attained them,

    And were raised forever to the loftiest office.

  16. فلا زلت ذا جاه عريض وملجأ

    ولا زلت ذا باع طويل ومقصدا

    So may you ever possess far-reaching influence and be a refuge,

    And ever have a long reach and be a place of recourse.

  17. وللخير أهلاً والمبرة منتجاً

    وللخبر المهدي المسرة مبتدا

    And be worthy of goodness, bringing forth benevolence,

    And a source of tidings that bring delight.

  18. ودام محياك الوسيم ببشره

    وثغرك بساماً وفضلك يجتدا

    And may your handsome face retain its cheerfulness,

    And your lips remain smiling, and your bounty be sought.

  19. ودام لك الاقبال والعز والهنا

    ونيل المنى والسعد والمجد والندا

    And may prosperity, honor, and happiness endure for you,

    And the attainment of wishes, good fortune, glory, and generosity.

  20. ولا زلت ذا عدل وفضل ورحمة

    ورأى جميل لا يزال مسددا

    And may you ever possess justice, virtue, and mercy,

    And fine judgment, ever guided aright.

  21. ولا زالت الاعياد في كل بهجة

    توافيك في ابهى كمال مدى المدا

    And may the festivals ever, in all their joy,

    Come to you in the fairest perfection, for all time.
