    How can the air not grow cool around a river

    between two waterwheels, like two gentle, steady showers?

    Above it, they never cease their sprinkling and

    fine spray, not for a moment.

    And the water from them grows clear, when they

    are like two sieves for the water as it flows.

    وَهوَ طَشاً بُرادَةٌ مِن لُجين

    So, as droplets, it is pearls falling scattered;

    and as fine spray, it is filings of silver.

    Fair-faced, it has been worn down by the torment of the

    heat, so it now lies between two fans.
