وَشَكوىand the complaint الصَّبِّof the lovesick lover مِنof أَلَمٍpain شَديدٍsevere
وَشَكوى الصَّبِّ مِن أَلَمٍ شَديدٍ
وَشِدَّةِand the intensity of ضَمِّclasping رُمَّانِthe pomegranates of النُّهودthe breasts
وَشِدَّةِ ضَمِّ رُمَّانِ النُّهود
And the lovesick lover's complaint of severe pain,
The agony of morning from intense pain,
and of tightly clasping pomegranate breasts.
And the tight embrace of pomegranate buds,
جُسومٌbodies كَالمِياهِlike water يَضُمُّhe clasps مِنهاfrom them
جُسومٌ كَالمِياهِ يَضُمُّ مِنها
إِذاwhen اِعتُنِقَتthey are embraced نُهوداًbreasts كَالحَديدlike iron
إِذا اِعتُنِقَت نُهوداً كَالحَديد
Bodies like water—from them he clasps,
Bodies like water embracing them,
when they are embraced, breasts like iron.
When embraced, buds as hard as iron.
