وَتَنَعَّمتُand I reveled فيin خُدودٍcheeks صِباحِradiant
وَتَنَعَّمتُ في خُدودٍ صِباحِ
زائِداتٍsurpassing عَلىbeyond بَياضِwhiteness الصَّباحِthe morning
زائِداتٍ عَلى بَياضِ الصَّباحِ
And I reveled in radiant cheeks,
I delighted in the cheeks of a morning
Surpassing the whiteness of morning.
Pink upon the whiteness of the dawn
صارَbecame فيهاon them الخيلانُthe beauty marks فيamid الوَردِthe roses شبهاًa likeness
صارَ فيها الخيلانُ في الوَردِ شبهاً
لِلغَواليto perfumed pastes فيon أَحمَرِthe red of التُّفاحِapples
لِلغَوالي في أَحمَرِ التُّفاحِ
On them, beauty marks amid roses came to resemble
Horses amid roses appeared
Perfumed pastes on red apples.
Like apples amidst redness of apples
