انظُرLook غَرائِبَwonders للخيريِّof the wallflower ظاهِرَةًvisible
انظُر غَرائِبَ للخيريِّ ظاهِرَةً
عِندَin الظَّلامdarkness وَعِندَand at الصُّبحِdawn تستَتِرُare concealed
عِندَ الظَّلام وَعِندَ الصُّبحِ تستَتِرُ
Behold the wallflower’s wonders, revealed
Look at the wonders of the benevolent one
in darkness, and hidden at dawn.
Apparent at nightfall and at dawn, hiding
كَأَنَّهُas though it were سارِقٌa thief طيباًperfume تَفَرَّقَspread فيin الظthe… (word fragment)
كَأَنَّهُ سارِقٌ طيباً تَفَرَّقَ في الظ
ظَلماءِdarkness فَهوَso it is بِنَمِّby the tattling of الرِّيحthe wind مُشتَهِرُmade known
ظَلماءِ فَهوَ بِنَمِّ الرِّيح مُشتَهِرُ
As though it were a thief of perfume that spread through the
As though he were a thief distributing fragrance in the dark
darkness; thus it is exposed by the wind’s tattling.
So he becomes renowned by the blessing of the wind
