تبدّىappeared مشرقاshining فيat بدءthe beginning of عامa year
تبدّى مشرقا في بدء عام
The feast's radiance, from the horizon of peace,
The light of Eid rises from the horizon of peace
appeared, shining, at the beginning of a year.
Appearing radiant at the start of a new year
بهاتيكon those اللياليthe nights البيضthe white حلّتit alighted
بهاتيك الليالي البيض حلّت
فانيunclear as written حسنُهاits beauty طيبَthe sweetness of المنامِsleep
فاني حسنُها طيبَ المنامِ
On those white nights it alighted;
With these white nights that have arrived
[Opening word unclear] its beauty, the sweetness of sleep.
Delightful is their beauty, pleasant are their dreams
وأمَّتand it sought رَبعthe dwelling of اقوامfolk كرامnoble
وأمَّت رَبع اقوام كرام
تديرpasses around عليهمamong them كأسَthe cup of المدامِwine
تدير عليهم كأسَ المدامِ
And it sought the dwelling of noble folk,
And a noble people have hoped
passing the cup of wine around among them,
As the cup of wine circulates among them
مشعشعةًgleaming; diluted with water كانَّas though بهاwithin it خلالاًvirtues
مشعشعةً كانَّ بها خلالاً
تضاهيmatch خلقthe character of كوكيلKukil الهمامِthe valiant
تضاهي خلق كوكيل الهمامِ
gleaming, as though it held virtues
Gleaming as if endowed with the best qualities
matching the character of valiant Kukil.
Rivaling the creation of the Most Merciful
فلاso may … never زالتcease شموسكyour suns طالعاتٍrising
فلا زالت شموسك طالعاتٍ
بافقon the horizon of السعدgood fortune ياO خيرbest of الكرامِthe noble
بافق السعد يا خير الكرامِ
So may your suns never cease rising
So your suns continue to rise
on the horizon of good fortune, O best of the noble.
