خُذ كِتاباً جمعَ الفضلَ وإن

خُذ كِتاباً جمعَ الفضلَ وإن

كانَ كالنجمِ بعينيكَ صَغيرا

كانَ كالنجمِ بعينيكَ صَغيرا

Take a book that has gathered excellence, even if

Take a book that gathered virtue, even

it is as small as a star in your eyes.

If it seems small like a star in your eyes

مِن مَزايا المُصطفى شمسِ الهدى

مِن مَزايا المُصطفى شمسِ الهدى

أُفقهُ أطلعَ للناسِ بدورا

أُفقهُ أطلعَ للناسِ بدورا

From the virtues of the Chosen One, the sun of guidance,

From the qualities of Al-Mustafa, the sun of guidance

its horizon has brought forth full moons for the people.

Its horizons shone for people in turn

وَإِذا حقّقتها تلقاهُ في

وَإِذا حقّقتها تلقاهُ في

واحدٍ منها على الخلق أميرا

واحدٍ منها على الخلق أميرا

And when you examine them closely, you find him, in

And when you examine it you will find in

one of them, a sovereign over creation.

Just one of them for people a prince

قُل بهِ ما شئتَ من مدحٍ ولا

قُل بهِ ما شئتَ من مدحٍ ولا

تخفِ اللومَ ولا تخشَ النكيرا

تخفِ اللومَ ولا تخشَ النكيرا

Say of him whatever praise you wish, and do not

Say about it whatever praise you wish and

fear blame, nor dread reproach.

Do not fear blame or dread denial

فَجميعُ المدحِ من كلّ الورى

فَجميعُ المدحِ من كلّ الورى

لَو أتى في حقّهِ كان قُصورا

لَو أتى في حقّهِ كان قُصورا

For all praise from all creation,

For all praise from all creation

were it offered in his honor, would fall short.

If given for him would be too little
