أَنا في حِمى عائذ

أَنا في حِمى عائذ

وبخيرِ خلق اللَّه لائِذ

وبخيرِ خلق اللَّه لائِذ

I take refuge in a sanctuary,

I seek refuge in the protection of the Best of Allah's creation

and shelter with the best of God's creation:

The offspring of the glorious tribe of Hashim

أصل الوجودِ محمّدٍ

أصل الوجودِ محمّدٍ

فرعِ الجحاجحةِ الجهابِذ

فرعِ الجحاجحةِ الجهابِذ

Muhammad, the root of existence,

The origin of existence is Muhammad

scion of illustrious, discerning chiefs,

The branch of the mighty, towering tree

خيرِ البريّة كلّها

خيرِ البريّة كلّها

مَن جاههُ في الحشرِ نافِذ

مَن جاههُ في الحشرِ نافِذ

the best of all creation,

The best of all creation

whose influence holds sway at the Gathering;

The one whose intercession will be accepted on the Day of Judgement

ربُّ الشفاعةِ واللِوا

ربُّ الشفاعةِ واللِوا

وَالحوضِ والكلمِ النوافِذ

وَالحوضِ والكلمِ النوافِذ

master of intercession and the banner,

The Lord of intercession, the Pool, and penetrating words

and the Pool and potent words.

He gathered all perfection, so he has no faults

جَمَعَ الكمالَ فما لشا

جَمَعَ الكمالَ فما لشا

نيهِ إِلى عيبٍ منافِذ

نيهِ إِلى عيبٍ منافِذ

He gathered all perfection; his detractor has no

He kept his promises, even to those who broke them

avenues to any flaw.

O you who are attracted to his love

حفظَ العهودَ وإنّه

حفظَ العهودَ وإنّه

لِلعهدِ ممّن خان نابِذ

لِلعهدِ ممّن خان نابِذ

He kept the covenants, and indeed he

With hearts stronger than metal chains

renounces the covenant with whoever betrays it.

Hold fast to his guidance with your teeth

يا مَن لجاذبِ حبّه

يا مَن لجاذبِ حبّه

بقلوبِهم أَقوى جوابِذ

بقلوبِهم أَقوى جوابِذ

O you, for whom the lure of love for him

And bite down on it with determination

exerts the strongest pulls within your hearts:

His family and companions are our refuge

بِشَذا هداهُ تمسّكوا

بِشَذا هداهُ تمسّكوا

عضّوا عليه بالنواجِذ

عضّوا عليه بالنواجِذ

hold fast to the fragrance of his guidance;

From going astray into misguidance

bite down on it with your molars.

I profess my love for them

وَالآلُ والصحبُ الهدا

وَالآلُ والصحبُ الهدا

ةُ منَ الضلالِ لنا معاوِذ

ةُ منَ الضلالِ لنا معاوِذ

And his family and companions, the guides,

And reject their enemies for eternity

are refuges for us from error.

إنّي أدينُ بحبّهم

إنّي أدينُ بحبّهم

وَلضدّهم أَبداً أنابِذ

وَلضدّهم أَبداً أنابِذ

Indeed, I profess love for them as my faith,

and forever oppose their foe.
