احمدوا اللَهَ وحثّوا كأسكم

احمدوا اللَهَ وحثّوا كأسكم

إنّما المغبونُ من لا يحمده

إنّما المغبونُ من لا يحمده

Praise God, and hasten to drink your cup.

Praise God and pass your cup around

Only the one who does not praise Him is at a loss.

For he who fails to praise is truly lost

أعجزُ الناس مضيعٌ يومَهُ

أعجزُ الناس مضيعٌ يومَهُ

وهو لا يعلمُ ما يجني غده

وهو لا يعلمُ ما يجني غده

The most helpless of people is one who wastes his day,

The weakest man is he who wastes his day

while he does not know what his tomorrow will yield.
