ذَوو الأَحسابِ أَكرَمُ مُخبِراتٍ

ذَوو الأَحسابِ أَكرَمُ مُخبِراتٍ

وأَصبَرُ عِندَ نائِبَةِ الحُقوقِ

وأَصبَرُ عِندَ نائِبَةِ الحُقوقِ

Those of noble lineage are nobler in character,

The best informers have highest morals

And more steadfast under the burden of obligations.

And are most patient in the face adversity

وَما اِستَخبَيتُ في رَحلٍ خَبيئاً

وَما اِستَخبَيتُ في رَحلٍ خَبيئاً

كِدينِ الصِدقِ أَو حَسَبٍ عَتيقِ

كِدينِ الصِدقِ أَو حَسَبٍ عَتيقِ

And I have stowed no hidden treasure in my baggage

I have never concealed on a journey

To match devotion to truthfulness or an ancient noble lineage.

A debt of truth or an old account
