إِذاwhen اِجتَمَعواthey gather عَلىover أَلِفٍthe letter alif وَياءٍand the letter yāʾ
إِذا اِجتَمَعوا عَلى أَلِفٍ وَياءٍ
وَواوٍand the letter wāw هاجَerupts بَينَهُمُamong them قِتالُfighting
وَواوٍ هاجَ بَينَهُمُ قِتالُ
When they gather over an alif and a yāʾ
And a wāw, fighting erupts among them.
