وَمَنand whoever يَتَخَمَّطtyrannizes over بِالمَظالِمِwith injustices قَومُهُhis people
وَمَن يَتَخَمَّط بِالمَظالِمِ قَومُهُ
وَإِنand even if كَرُمَتis noble فيهِمamong them وَعَزَّتand is exalted مَناصِبُهْhis standing
وَإِن كَرُمَت فيهِم وَعَزَّت مَناصِبُهْ
And whoever tyrannizes over his people with injustice,
though his standing among them be noble and exalted,
يُخَدَّشwill be scratched بِأَظفارِby the claws of العَشيرَةِthe clan خَدُّهُhis cheek
يُخَدَّش بِأَظفارِ العَشيرَةِ خَدُّهُ
وَيُجرَحْand will be wounded رَكوباًas a mount صَفحَتاهُhis two flanks وَغارِبُهْand his withers
وَيُجرَحْ رَكوباً صَفحَتاهُ وَغارِبُهْ
will have his cheek scratched by the claws of his clan,
and, used as a mount, have his flanks and withers wounded.
