أَصبَحَ في قَيدِكَ السَماحَةُ وَال

أَصبَحَ في قَيدِكَ السَماحَةُ وَال

جودُ وَفَضلُ الصَلاحِ وَالحَسبُ

جودُ وَفَضلُ الصَلاحِ وَالحَسبُ

Liberality is now held in your bonds, and

Generosity and benevolence are now captive to you

generosity, excellence in virtue, and noble standing.

As are excellence, virtue, and nobility

لا بَطِرٌ إِن تَتابَعَت نِعَمٌ

لا بَطِرٌ إِن تَتابَعَت نِعَمٌ

وَصابِرٌ في البَلاءِ مُحتَسِبُ

وَصابِرٌ في البَلاءِ مُحتَسِبُ

You are not arrogant when blessings follow one another,

Not boastful when favors are successive

and are patient in affliction, seeking God's reward.

And patient in tribulation, awaiting reward

بَرَّزتَ سَبقَ الجِيادِ في مَهَلٍ

بَرَّزتَ سَبقَ الجِيادِ في مَهَلٍ

وَقَصَّرَت دونَ سَعيِكَ العَرَبُ

وَقَصَّرَت دونَ سَعيِكَ العَرَبُ

You took the lead like fine steeds, without haste,

You surpassed racing steeds in an easy trot

and the Arabs fell short of your striving.

And the Arabs lagged behind your effort
