غَدَوا كاعِمي أَفواهَهُم بِسِياطِهِم

غَدَوا كاعِمي أَفواهَهُم بِسِياطِهِم

مِنَ الداءِ إِذ لَم يُطعَموا بِغِياثِ

مِنَ الداءِ إِذ لَم يُطعَموا بِغِياثِ

They went forth in the morning, gagging their mouths with their whips,

because of the affliction, since they had not been fed at Ghiyath.

فَلَولا دِفاعُ اللَهِ عَنهُم بِمَنِّهِ

فَلَولا دِفاعُ اللَهِ عَنهُم بِمَنِّهِ

بِثِنتَينِ بَينَ اِثنَينِ عِندَ ثَلاثِ

بِثِنتَينِ بَينَ اِثنَينِ عِندَ ثَلاثِ

So, were it not for God's protection of them through His grace,

with two between two, at three.
