زَعَمَ الأحَمرُ المَقيتُ عليَّ

زَعَمَ الأحَمرُ المَقيتُ عليَّ

والذي أمّه تَدينُ بمَقِتهْ

والذي أمّه تَدينُ بمَقِتهْ

The loathsome al-Ahmar made a claim against me—

The hateful red one claims against me

He whose mother makes a creed of hating him—

By the one whose mother is religious in her hatred

أنَّه عَلمَ الكسائيَّ تصريفاً

أنَّه عَلمَ الكسائيَّ تصريفاً

فإنْ كان ذا كَذا فبِاستهْ

فإنْ كان ذا كَذا فبِاستهْ

That he taught al-Kisa’i morphology;

That he taught Al-Kisa'i grammar

So if this is so, then up his arse!

If so, then damn his father
