  1. الصمت خير للفتى

    من منطق خطلٍ يشينه

    Silence is better for a young man

    than foolish speech that disgraces him.

  2. ولصمته أحرى به

    ولو أن منطقه يزينه

    And surely his silence is more fitting for him,

    even if his speech adorns him.
