والمرءُand a man تَلقاهُyou find him مِضْياعًاhabitually wasteful لفُرصتهِof his opportunity
والمرءُ تَلقاهُ مِضْياعًا لفُرصتهِ
حتَّىuntil إذاwhen فاتَpassed by أمرٌsomething عاتَبَreproached القدراfate
حتَّى إذا فاتَ أمرٌ عاتَبَ القدرا
And you find a man squandering his opportunity,
A man encounters misfortune that leads him astray
Until, when something has passed him by, he blames fate.
