غُلامٌ قد أَتانا في ربيعٍ

غُلامٌ قد أَتانا في ربيعٍ

فقرًّت عند رؤيتهِ العيون

فقرًّت عند رؤيتهِ العيون

A boy has come to us in spring,

A youth came to us in the spring

So the eyes were gladdened at the sight of him.

Eyes became poor at the sight of him

فقلنا والمؤَرخُ يوماً

فقلنا والمؤَرخُ يوماً

تَعيشُ بأَمنِ ربّك يا أَمينُ

تَعيشُ بأَمنِ ربّك يا أَمينُ

So we and the chronicler said one day:

So we said, and the historian one day

May you live in your Lord’s protection, O Amin.

Live in the security of your Lord, O trustee
