وإن يكُ حقّاً يا خديجةُ فاعلمي

وإن يكُ حقّاً يا خديجةُ فاعلمي

حديثُكِ إيّاها فأحمدُ مرسلُ

حديثُكِ إيّاها فأحمدُ مرسلُ

And if true, O Khadijah—then know—

And if it is true, O Khadija, then know

Is your account to her, then Ahmad is sent as a messenger.

That your words about it make me grateful

وجبريل يأتيه وميكالُ فاعلمي

وجبريل يأتيه وميكالُ فاعلمي

من اللَه وحيٌ يشرحُ الصدر منزلُ

من اللَه وحيٌ يشرحُ الصدر منزلُ

And Gabriel comes to him, and Michael—then know:

Gabriel comes to him and Michael, so know

From God, a revelation that opens the breast is sent down.

From Allah, revelation expanding the chest is revealed

يفوزُ به من فاز فيها بتوبةٍ

يفوزُ به من فاز فيها بتوبةٍ

ويشقى به العاتي الغرير المُضَلَّلُ

ويشقى به العاتي الغرير المُضَلَّلُ

Through it triumphs whoever has triumphed therein through repentance;

Whoever succeeds in it with repentance is victorious

And through it the defiant, gullible, misguided one suffers.

While the transgressing misguided sinner is wretched in it

فريقان منهم فرقةُ في جنانِه

فريقان منهم فرقةُ في جنانِه

وأخرى بأجواز الجحيمِ تغلَّلُ

وأخرى بأجواز الجحيمِ تغلَّلُ

Two groups among them: one group in His gardens,

Two groups among them, one group in His Gardens

And another is shackled in the depths of Hell.

And another slipping into the heat of Hell

فسبحانَ من تهوى الرياحُ بأمرهِ

فسبحانَ من تهوى الرياحُ بأمرهِ

ومن هو في الأيّامِ ما شاءَ يفعَلُ

ومن هو في الأيّامِ ما شاءَ يفعَلُ

So glory be to Him at whose command the winds rush,

So glory to Him whom the winds blow by His command

And to Him who, throughout the days, does whatever He wills,

And He does whatever He wills in the days

ومن عرشهُ فوقَ السماوات كلّها

ومن عرشهُ فوقَ السماوات كلّها

وأقضاؤهُ في خلقهِ لا تبدَّلُ

وأقضاؤهُ في خلقهِ لا تبدَّلُ

And to Him whose throne is above all the heavens,

And His throne is above all the heavens

And His decrees concerning His creation are not altered.

And His decrees in His creation do not change
