Send my greetings, O branch, for since

I hung upon you, I've been rich yet poor.

Alas for my soul! Other souls find solace, while mine
Ah, my soul finds rest by soothing souls,
is in love with the gazelle; its remembrance of her never wanes.
While for Rim's love my soul is evermore

Who will aid a yearning soul—you are its love—
Aflame. For one whose soul, like mine, aspires,
and a heart that nearly takes flight for you?
And heart, like mine, in you would fly and soar...
