O people of Iraq, may this paradise bring you joy!

People of Iraq, your home is a paradise,

The midday resting place within it is cool, and the dwelling pleasant.

With a cool breeze and pleasant dwellings.

You find within it whatever your souls desire,

There you find whatever your souls desire,

And see within it whatever delights the eyes.

And see whatever delights the eyes.
