You would know the tears are what speak,

أيقنت أن من الدموع محدّثا

وعلمت أن من الحديث دموعا

وعلمت أن من الحديث دموعا

You would have been certain that some tears speak,

And that the words themselves are tears.

And known that some speech is tears.
