O tears, my eyes are not crying
in anguish at the laughter of gray hair on my head.
In grief over the laughter of old age in my head
انindeed النذيرthe herald of warning لكلto every ذيone with املhope
ان النذير لكل ذي امل
لهوit is indeed البشيرُthe herald of glad tidings لكيso that (apparently intended as لكل, 'to every') ذيone with باسdistress
لهو البشيرُ لكي ذي باس
Indeed, the herald of warning to everyone with hope
Surely the warner is for all who have hope
is surely the herald of glad tidings to everyone in distress.
And the bearer of good tidings is for all in distress
وأحبand the dearest ماwhat ابغيهI seek it فيin زمنيmy lifetime
وأحب ما ابغيه في زمني
انto استريحI find rest بختمwith the ending of انفاسيmy breaths
ان استريح بختم انفاسي
And what I most dearly seek in my lifetime
What I love most in my time
is to find rest when my breaths come to an end.
Is to rest with the sealing of my last breath
