إِنَّindeed قَلبيmy heart مُعلَّقٌattached بِنِساءٍto women
إِنَّ قَلبي مُعلَّقٌ بِنِساءٍ
وَاضحَاتِbright الخُدُودِthe cheeks لَسنَthey are not بِهُجنِof base birth
وَاضحَاتِ الخُدُودِ لَسنَ بِهُجنِ
Indeed, my heart is attached to women,
Bright of cheek, not of base birth,
مِنfrom بَنَاتِdaughters of الكَرِيمِthe noble داذَDādh وفيand among كِنKin- (start of Kindah)
مِن بَنَاتِ الكَرِيمِ داذَ وفي كِن
دَةَ-dah (end of Kindah) يُنسَبنَtheir descent is traced مِنfrom أُبَاةِthose who refuse اللَّعنِbeing cursed
دَةَ يُنسَبنَ مِن أُبَاةِ اللَّعنِ
Daughters of noble Dādh; and among Kin-
dah their descent is traced to those who brook no curse.
