O heart, restrain some of what you feel.

A man may fall in love, then act with restraint.

A man may conceal his love for ages,

While he is lovesick and his heart is grief-stricken.

What do you want from an amorous youth

Whom sickness and sleeplessness have wasted for love of you?

He threatens me so that I may fear them.

Never! How can the lion be threatened?
