قُولاَsay, you two لَذَاto this الغَضبانthe angry one ياO ظالِماًwrongdoer
يغضَبُhe grows angry أَنthat أَدعُوI pray عَلىagainst ظَالِميmy oppressor
You two, tell this angry one: O wrongdoer,
Say to that angry one, O oppressor
who grows angry that I pray against my oppressor,
He is angry that I pray against my oppressors
أَظنُّهI think he is أَنتَyou وإِلاّand if not فَلِمْthen why
تَخشىyou fear دُعائيmy prayer دُونَto the exclusion of ذَاthis العَالَمِthe world
I think you are he; otherwise, why
I think it is you, if not, why
do you alone in all this world fear my prayer?
Do you fear my prayer over all people
يَاO ربِّmy Lord لاnot يُقْبَلْbe accepted عليهِagainst him وإِنand even if
جَارَhe has been unjust دُعاءُthe prayer of المُغرَمِthe lovesick lover الهَائِمِthe wandering one
O my Lord, may it not be accepted against him, even
O Lord, do not accept from him even if
if he has been unjust—the prayer of the lovesick, wandering lover.
The prayer of the smitten wanderer is effective
