The disease of miserliness has spread so far
So I resist them with stinginess, destitute upon the rubble
that it pervades all humankind.
Why do you insist on trying and wish for a torrent of calamities

So their hands, through miserliness, are locked
O my brother complaining of what I complain
around ill-gotten worldly dross.
And carrying my worries and forgetting the bond of love

How long, then, will you seek barren
