يا مُنتهَى الأمَلِ امتدَّتْ مَطارِحُهُ

يا مُنتهَى الأمَلِ امتدَّتْ مَطارِحُهُ

ويا حِمَى مَن إليهِ في الخُطوب لَجَا

ويا حِمَى مَن إليهِ في الخُطوب لَجَا

O ultimate goal of hope, whose reaches stretch far,

O you, the farthest reach of hope, its expanses spread wide,

And O refuge of whoever turned to him amid calamities.

And O refuge for one who in hard times came to you,

هَذيِ نتيجةُ فِكرٍ كان في الزّمنِ ال

هَذيِ نتيجةُ فِكرٍ كان في الزّمنِ ال

ماضِي عَقِيماً ولولا أنتَ مَا نُتِجَا

ماضِي عَقِيماً ولولا أنتَ مَا نُتِجَا

This is the fruit of thought that, in times

This is the fruit of a thought that in days gone by

Past, was barren; but for you, it would have borne no fruit.

Was barren, and had you not been, would not have come to fruit,

أتَتْكَ تَحمِلَُ شكراً لو قرنتَ به

أتَتْكَ تَحمِلَُ شكراً لو قرنتَ به

لَطِيمَةً لاكتَسَتْ من نَشرِه أرَجَا

لَطِيمَةً لاكتَسَتْ من نَشرِه أرَجَا

It has come to you bearing gratitude; were you to pair with it

You came bearing thanks, and if with it you coupled

A perfume-laden caravan, it would gain fragrance from its scent.

A long complaint, from its diffusion fragrance would waft.
