How long might one who has passed seventy
How much can remain for one who has crossed sixty
Live on—how long might he?
years of age - how much can remain for him?
أنَسيتَhave you forgotten? اللهَGod أمor أَمْmade safe (first part)
أنَسيتَ اللهَ أم أَمْ
مَنَكَmade you safe (completion) اللهُGod لَظاهُHis blaze
مَنَكَ اللهُ لَظاهُ
Have you forgotten God, or has

God made you safe from His blaze?
God been gracious to you, preserving you?
تَظْلِمُyou wrong الناسَpeople لمنfor one whom ترجوyou hope in
تَظْلِمُ الناسَ لمن ترجو
هُhim أوor تخْشَىyou fear سُطاهُhis might
هُ أو تخْشَى سُطاهُ
You wrong people for one you place your hopes
You wrong people - for whose sake?
In, or whose might you fear.

أنتَyou كالتَّنُّورlike the oven يَصلىis scorched by النْthe fire (first part)
أنتَ كالتَّنُّور يَصلى النْ
نَارَfire (completion) فيin نفعِthe benefit of سِواهُsomeone other than it
نَارَ في نفعِ سِواهُ
You are like an oven, scorched by the
