O Lord, my wrongdoing has indeed blackened

My pages in the hands of the noble scribes.

والخوف منك ومن عقابك مقلقي

والخوف منك ومن عقابك مقلقي

فارحم مخافة ذي الفؤاد الراجف

فارحم مخافة ذي الفؤاد الراجف

And fear of You and of Your punishment troubles me.

So pity the fear of one whose heart trembles.

من خاف شيئا فر منه هاربا

من خاف شيئا فر منه هاربا

وإليك منك مفر عبد خائف

وإليك منك مفر عبد خائف

Whoever fears something flees from it in flight;

And to You, from You, is a fearful servant’s refuge.
