مَاthere is no بالملاَلَةِin weariness حينwhen تَعْرِضُit arises منany خَفَاconcealment
إنif لمnot تَخُنyou betray فابلُغthen attain رِضاكَyour satisfaction مِنَfrom الجَفَاcoldness
Weariness, when it arises, cannot be concealed.
If you are not unfaithful, take your fill of coldness.
فاليأسُfor despair منكَof you إذاwhen صَددتَyou turn away خِيانَةٌbetrayal
وإذاand when مَلَلتَyou grow weary رَجَوتُI hope أنthat تَتَعطَّفَاyou show tenderness
For to despair of you when you turn away is betrayal.
And when you grow weary, I hope you will show tenderness.
إنّيindeed I لأضعُفُam indeed too weak عنto bear صُدودِكَyour rejection ساعةًfor an hour
وأرىand I find قُوايَmy strength عنfor الخيانةِbetrayal أضْعفَاweaker still
Indeed, I am too weak to bear your rejection for an hour.
And I find my strength still less able to betray.
