اصْبرْbe patient تَنلyou will attain ماwhat تُرجّيهِyou hope for it وتَفضُلُand you will surpass مَنْwhoever
اصْبرْ تَنل ما تُرجّيهِ وتَفضُلُ مَنْ
جاراكrivals you شَأوَthe course العُلاglory سَبقاًin outpacing وتَبريزاand in excelling
جاراك شَأوَ العُلا سَبقاً وتَبريزا
Be patient; you will attain what you hope for and surpass whoever
Be patient, you will attain what you hope for
Rivals you in the race to glory, outpacing and excelling.
And outdo those who raced you to glory and fame
فالتِّبْرُfor the unrefined gold أُحرِقَwas burned بالنيرانِin the fires مُصْطَبِراًpatiently enduring
فالتِّبْرُ أُحرِقَ بالنيرانِ مُصْطَبِراً
علىin the face of لظاهاtheir blaze إلىuntil أنthat عادَit became إِبْريزاpure gold
على لظاها إلى أن عادَ إِبْريزا
For unrefined gold was burned in the fires, patiently enduring
For ember is set aflame and made to glow
Their blaze until it became pure gold.
Through patience midst scorching fire's rage and flame
