لاdo not تُطلِعَنَّacquaint (emphatic) لسانَthe tongue of شَكْوىthe complaint of بَائِحٍone who divulges
لا تُطلِعَنَّ لسانَ شَكْوى بَائِحٍ
ضَجَراًout of vexation علىwith سِرِّthe secret of الفؤادthe heart الكاتِمِthat conceals
ضَجَراً على سِرِّ الفؤاد الكاتِمِ
Never acquaint the tongue of outspoken complaint
out of vexation, with the secret the heart conceals.
واُعلَمْand know بأنَّthat جَمِيعَall of ماwhat فيهin it بنُوthe sons of الدْthe … (beginning of 'the world')
واُعلَمْ بأنَّ جَمِيعَ ما فيه بنُو الدْ
دُنياworld يزولُvanishes زوالَthe vanishing of حُلمِthe dream of النّائِمِthe sleeper
دُنيا يزولُ زوالَ حُلمِ النّائِمِ
And know that all in which the sons of the
world find themselves vanishes like a sleeper's dream.
