And a solitary one weeps when her night falls,

quietly, with fire and searing pain within her.

She melts with burning grief, either from rejection and abandonment,

or from a parting whose sundering admits no reunion.

So I have seen no molten ember but her tears,

nor, before her, a weeper's body that was all tears.
