ويصد عنك الأعين الإنكارا
Now hearts recognize you only by conjecture,
The hearts came to recognize you only as an illusion,
And lack of recognition turns the eyes away from you.
And denial turned its eyes away from you.

لم يبق منك الدهر رسما مائلا
ينبيindicates بأنthat هناكthere كانتwas دارa dwelling
ينبي بأن هناك كانت دار
Time has left no leaning remnant of you
Time did not leave any leaning trace of you,
To show that a dwelling once stood there.
That would indicate that there was once a home here.
لهفيmy sorrow علىfor الزمنthe time القصيرbrief قطعتهI spent it

بكin you إنindeed أيامdays السرورjoy قصارshort
بك إن أيام السرور قصار
How I lament the brief time I spent
I grieve for the short lifetime I spent with you.
