Tell ʿĀmir, if you meet her where you are:
For the house of honor has reached its utmost limit.
رَحَلناwe departed مِنَfrom الأَجبالِthe mountains أَجبالِthe mountains of طَيِّءِṬayyiʾ

نَسوقُ النِساءَ عوذَها وَعِشارَها
We departed from the mountains, the mountains of Ṭayyiʾ,
driving the women, those newly delivered and those heavy with child.

You see every tender, white-toothed young woman
tearing her bodice when al-Simāk rises high.

And she knows her saddle will never return
once she leaves her home in the last hours of night.
