Greet the dwellings: their traces have become a byword.
The dwellings became mere examples
Pause; let us question them—there is no harm in your asking—
Its four corners suffice to ask about

أَنيسَةً وَطِئَت سَهلاً وَلا جَبَلا
About her, whose likeness no beholder has ever seen
The one whose image no seer has seen
In any gentle woman who has trodden plain or mountain:
A companion, she walked on plain and mountain

Fair, a doe content with fresh herbage, with fragrant perfume sprinkled upon her,
White and chaste, the scent overflows through her
Well-rounded in form, among those at home in curtained chambers.
Perfect in creation, of those who shun ornament
