بِنَفسِيَ مَن شَفَّني حُبُّهُ

بِنَفسِيَ مَن شَفَّني حُبُّهُ

وَمَن حُبُّهُ باطِنٌ ظاهِرُ

وَمَن حُبُّهُ باطِنٌ ظاهِرُ

My soul be ransom for him whose love has wasted me away,

I would ransom with my life the one whose love has worn me thin,

and for him whose love dwells within and shows without;

And the one whose love is both hidden and manifest,

وَمَن لَستُ أَصبِرُ عَن ذِكرِهِ

وَمَن لَستُ أَصبِرُ عَن ذِكرِهِ

وَلا هُوَ عَن ذِكرِنا صابِرُ

وَلا هُوَ عَن ذِكرِنا صابِرُ

and for him whom I cannot bear to cease remembering,

And the one I cannot refrain from remembering,

nor can he bear to cease remembering me;

Nor can he refrain from remembering us,

وَمَن إِن ذُكِرنا جَرى دَمعُهُ

وَمَن إِن ذُكِرنا جَرى دَمعُهُ

وَدَمعي لِذِكري لَهُ مائِرُ

وَدَمعي لِذِكري لَهُ مائِرُ

and for him whose tears flow whenever I am mentioned,

And the one whose tears flow if we are mentioned,

while my tears surge for him whenever I remember him;

While my tears surge when I remember him,

وَمَن أَعرِفُ الوُدَّ في وَجهِهِ

وَمَن أَعرِفُ الوُدَّ في وَجهِهِ

وَيَعرِفُ وُدي لَهُ الناظِرُ

وَيَعرِفُ وُدي لَهُ الناظِرُ

and for him whose love I recognize upon his face,

And the one in whose face I recognize affection,

while the beholder recognizes my love for him.

And the onlooker recognizes my affection for him.
