    Indeed, al-Khabib's baggage has departed

In the late afternoon, so your tears stream unceasingly.

At evening, among those laden camels, there departed

A figure whose beauty and loveliness delight you.

A figure with downcast gaze and slender waist,

Full where the armlet rests, with an anklet snugly filled.

So hold fast to modesty, for you have wept with a wail—

If only a weeper's wailing could do him good!

Ah, how lovely those laden camels, and how lovely

A figure there—and how lovely others like that one!
