May rain water the two lote trees of Ajyad, and the doum palm that
My two palms have watered the saplings, then the dew spot
stands beside the house—the downpour of a pouring, gleaming cloud.
Towards the house on the side of the pouring rain
فَلَوfor if كُنتُI were بِالدارِin the house الَّتيthat مَهبِطَat the foot of الصَفاal-Safa
سَلِمتُI would be well إِذاwhen ماemphatic particle غابَwas absent عَنّيfrom me مُعَلِّليmy comforter
For if I were in the house at the foot of al-Safa,
If only I were in the house where Safa descended
I would be well whenever my comforter was away from me.
I would be safe if my blamer were absent from me
هُنالِكَthere لَوif أَنّيthat I مَرِضتُfell ill لَعادَنيwould surely visit me
كِرامٌnoble women وَمَنand whoever لاnot يَأتِcomes مِنهُنَّamong them (women) يُرسِلِwould send
There, if I fell ill, I would surely be visited
There if I were sick, generous ones would visit me
by noble women; and whoever among them did not come would send word.
And those who do not come would send
