الخَيطُ الأَبيضُ ضوءُ الصُبحِ مُنفَلِقٌ
والخَيطُand the thread الأَسوَدُthe black لَونُhue اللَيلِof night مَكمومُveiled
والخَيطُ الأَسوَدُ لَونُ اللَيلِ مَكمومُ
The white thread is dawn’s light, breaking forth;
The white thread is the light of dawn unfolding
And the black thread is night’s hue, veiled.
