فَلَوso if قَتَلواthey killed بِحَربٍto avenge Harb أَلفَa thousand أَلفٍthousand
فَلَو قَتَلوا بِحَربٍ أَلفَ أَلفٍ
مِنَfrom among اَلجَنّانِthe jinn والإِنسِand humans الكِرامِthe noble
مِنَ اَلجَنّانِ والإِنسِ الكِرامِ
So if they killed a thousand thousand to avenge Harb,
From among the jinn and noble humans,
رأَيناهُمُwe would deem them لَهُfor him ذَحلاًblood vengeance وَقُلناand we would say
رأَيناهُمُ لَهُ ذَحلاً وَقُلنا
أَروناshow us مِثلَthe equal of حَربٍHarb فيamong الأَنامِall creatures
أَرونا مِثلَ حَربٍ في الأَنامِ
We would deem them blood vengeance for him, and say:
Show us Harb’s equal among all creatures.
