لا يَذهَبنَّ بِكَ التَفريطُ مُنتَظِراً

لا يَذهَبنَّ بِكَ التَفريطُ مُنتَظِراً

طولَ الأَناةِ وَلا يَطمَع بِكَ العَجَلُ

طولَ الأَناةِ وَلا يَطمَع بِكَ العَجَلُ

Do not let negligence carry you away as you wait

Don't let impatience make you act rashly

too long in deliberation, nor let haste set its hopes on you.

Nor let procrastination make you hesitate too long.

فَقَد يَزيدُ السُؤالُ المَرءَ تَجرِبَةً

فَقَد يَزيدُ السُؤالُ المَرءَ تَجرِبَةً

وَيَستَريحُ إِلى الأَخبارِ مَن يَسَلُ

وَيَستَريحُ إِلى الأَخبارِ مَن يَسَلُ

For questioning may increase a person's experience,

Often questioning increases one's experience

and whoever asks finds comfort in the news.

And one who asks is relieved by answers.
