أَرّباً واحِداً أَم أَلفُ رَبٍّ

أَرّباً واحِداً أَم أَلفُ رَبٍّ

أَدينُ إِذا تَقَسَّمَت الأُمورُ

أَدينُ إِذا تَقَسَّمَت الأُمورُ

A single lord or a thousand lords—

One Lord or a thousand lords

shall I worship when affairs are divided?

I'd still profess my faith in God

وَلَكِن أَعبُدُ الرَحمَنَ رَبّي

وَلَكِن أَعبُدُ الرَحمَنَ رَبّي

لِيَغفِرَ ذَنبي الرَبُّ الغَفورُ

لِيَغفِرَ ذَنبي الرَبُّ الغَفورُ

But I worship the Most Merciful, my Lord,

But I will worship Ar-Rahman

so that the All-Forgiving Lord may forgive my sin.

That my Lord the Forgiver may pardon my sin
