Do not be afraid to leave, so long as we live.
Do not fear deserting us though we remain

O daughter of al-Maliki, it pained us
O daughter of Malik, it grieved us
That you should remain in Bosra after al-Salil.
That you live after the progeny in Basra

Many an urgent matter the eye passes by
Lame, standing still within it, and exhausted.
Leaving neither shade nor ability to stand nor regret
