Two fair-skinned maidens, who in beauty excelled
Two white maidens smiled beautifully
All who dwell in the world, in fingers and smiling mouths.
Upon the inhabitants of the world, youthfully

They shared my two halves: one half in Mecca,
They divided in half, so half in Mecca
And one half for the people of al-Ghawr, among whom the halves were apportioned.
And half for the people of Al-Ghawr, however you divide
